Non-Protocol Diagnosis & Treatment
At the Center for Optimum Health, we embrace the concept of biochemical individuality: the idea that people are each physiologically unique and, as such, require treatment specifically tailored to their own individual needs. We offer state-of-the-art medicine from as individual an approach to diagnosis and treatment as is currently available in the physical medicine realm. We do this using a biofeedback-enhanced physical exam, which is a state-of-the-art form of muscle response testing that combines the best of Applied, Clinical and Educational Kinesiology (muscle testing) techniques with autonomic nervous system (ANS) research. This method of diagnosis is called Autonomic Response Testing, or Neural Kinesiology, and it is what allows us to determine treatment priorities that are specific to each individual. Each person’s journey towards optimal health is unique. By being able to tap into the body’s innate healing wisdom in this way, a specific road map can be constructed for each individual’s healing journey. We find that, when we honor the body’s inner wisdom like this, miracles can happen...and optimum health truly becomes possible.
Detoxification
Toxic chemicals (xenobiotics) are the contaminants in our environment which keep people from reaching a state of optimum health. Detoxification therapies are designed primarily to reduce this toxic load and to remove these chemicals from the body. To detoxify successfully, physiologic functions must be in optimal condition. Impaired physiology blocks or slows down detoxification. Nutritional deficits and metabolic imbalances result, thus impeding the detoxification process. To enhance this process and keep it moving without making people significantly ill, Dr. Zupa begins by addressing ANS imbalances which may block or slow down de-toxification. Allergy elimination (N.A.E.T.) treatments follow, if indicated, so that nutrients will be better absorbed. Sometimes an evaluation by a holistic dentist is recommended, if indicated, to diagnose and treat dental interference fields (such as infections from extracted or root canaled teeth, removal of amalgam fillings, and eliminating microcurrents and/or the metallic taste created by multiple metals in the mouth, known as electrogalvanism). Intestinal hydrotherapy is utilized as needed, and clients are encouraged to do what they can to reduce stress, eat well, increase pure water intake, and exercise while going through the detoxification process. We do not believe people must feel worse in order to feel better. Detoxification with non-protocol diagnostic techniques allows for individualized detox prescription, so clients can feel as well as possible during their healing process.
The Spiritual-Mental-Emotional Connection
The soul-mind-body connection impacts all of us primarily because of the autonomic nervous system’s connection to the central nervous system’s limbic (emotional) area. Often, body memories are stored in a client’s soft tissues, which interfere with their healing process. There are many ways to treat these cellular memories, both short and long term (e.g. breath work, spiritually oriented psychotherapy, art therapy, body memory therapy, psychokinesiology, NLP, hypnosis, hands-on energy healing, medical intuitive readings, homeopathy, etc.), depending on the nature of what surfaces during diagnosis and treatment. One thing is certain, though: the soul-mind-body connection cannot be overlooked or ignored. Otherwise, healing at the level of cause will not be successful, no matter how many supplements are given, how many amalgams are replaced, or how much detoxification is done.
Allergy Elimination
Allergies are a major underlying cause of acute and chronic illness. At the Center for Optimum Health, we are able to completely eliminate most allergies using the Nambudripad allergy elimination technique (N.A.E.T.). Once treatment is complete, which can mean as little as one treatment or many treatments for the severely allergic individual, elimination of that specific allergen for life is the likely result. Dr. Nambudripad claims an 80-90% cure rate for most allergens, thus greatly increasing a person’s chances for recovery from many acute and chronic conditions. N.A.E.T. treatments involve a 20-minute exposure to an allergen while treating specific acupuncture points with acupresssure, an activator device, mild infrared stimulation, and/or acupuncture needles. Staying away from the allergen for a specific time period is the next step. Being checked to see if the allergen has “cleared” completes the allergy elimination treatment process.
Neural Therapy
Neural Therapy is a therapeutic system for treating chronic pain and illness which frequently results in rapid and complete recovery. It involves the treatment of ANS ganglia (collections of nerve cell bodies) or peripheral nerves, scars, glands, trigger points, and other tissues by any effective means (injection, electrical, or with light), eliminating the chronic focus or neighboring toxic autonomic ganglion and restoring normal regulation. It is believed to work by regulating the ANS signals in areas impaired by pain or illness.
Electrodermal Screening
Electrodermal screening involves a non-invasive exam. Utilizing the body’s natural energy conduits, through Bio-Feedback, a computerized instrument assists in the assesment and treatment of patient illness. We acquire specific information in relation to your organs and systems, revealing your present state of health. Utilizing this technique we then search the computer data base containing more than 25,000 natural remedies. These remedies include herbs, nutrients and homeopathics.
